Faber-Castel

Faber-Castell's enforcement activity in China, recognised by a German industry anti-counterfeiting group, Aktion Plagiarius.

For more than 25 years, Aktion Plagiarius, an industry anti-counterfeiting body established in Germany, has been awarding negative prizes to companies that produce and sell counterfeit product. Aktion Plagiarius aims to highlight the problem and the need for Intellectual Property owners to secure and enforce their Intellectual Property. Its logo is, appropriately, a black gnome with a golden nose, signifying illicit earnings derived from copying the works of others.

In January 2004, Aktion Plagiarius acknowledged Faber-Castell's successful enforcement activity in China with a 'Special Award for Falsification' for fake erasers seized in enforcement activity in China. Our enforcement team in China had worked closely with Faber-Castell to investigate the producers of the fake erasers and, through the AIC, successfully seize 640,000 of the erasers from the premises of Zhengjiang Zhengda Stationery Co. Ltd, Zheijiang, China.
