Give & Gain Day
9 July. Canary Wharf.
On Friday 9 July the Rouse choir will be joining composer Harvey Brough (founding member of 1980’s pop group 'Harvey and the Wallbangers') in a concert designed to launch the long awaited CD of his ‘Requiem in Blue’. Other participants include UBS and KMPG, together with children from Hackney Schools. 'Requiem in Blue' is based on the traditional Latin mass and incorporates folksong, blues, jazz, gospel and improvised elements.
The performance is a charitable event raising awareness to support music education in schools and communities. All proceeds will go to The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts.
The event forms an integral part of ‘Give & Gain Day’, which is an annual celebration of employee volunteering promoted by Business in the Community (BiTC). BiTC is the largest and one of the oldest national business-led coalitions dedicated to corporate social responsibility.

Seminar: IPR for Design Industries

The European Chamber PRD IPR Working Group will hold a presentation on IPR Protection for Design on Thursday 8 July, 16.00 – 18.00. The seminar will be presented by our Elliot Papageorgiou and Sharon Qiao and will give practical guidelines for businesses on the various ways you can protect works of 2-D and 3-D designs in China to maintain your competitive advantage, as well as give some case examples.
