Professional Experience
James joined Rouse in 2007 to assist in the growth and development of its patent services in Asia, particularly China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam. Prior to joining Yu & Partners in Hong Kong, James had been a member of the�IP group of a well-known Hong Kong law firm, and had worked at established IP law firms in Melbourne, Australia, and Los Angeles, California.

James is a US Patent Attorney with experience working in many areas of IP, including patents, designs, trade marks, copyright, domain name disputes and patent litigation. He has particular experience of the computing and electrical industries, having drafted and prosecuted patent applications relating to computer software, internet applications, electrical technologies and mechanical devices. He has been involved in patent litigation in US federal district courts and has represented clients in Interference Proceedings before the US Patent�and Trademark Office and patent opposition proceedings in Australia. James is active in the Membership Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and has been a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association since 2000.
