Professional Experience
Raymond has been acting Vice Chairman of the IPR Working Group of the Beijing Chapter of the European Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) since 2004, until he moved to Guangzhou in March 2009 where he continues his involvement.
 
Raymond is experienced in a variety of intellectual property (IP) work and focuses primarily on enforcement. In contentious matters, he has participated in a number of administrative/civil/criminal-related cases encompassing a variety of IP rights in the People's Republic of China (PRC). His experience also includes conducting a nationwide IP rights market survey in the PRC in the oil lubricant and publishing sectors.
 
Raymond has been invited to speak on a variety of China IP rights matters at conferences from Auckland to the EPO (The Hague). He is regularly called upon to give IP rights briefings to visiting dignitaries from the European Union Commission, Gower's IPR Review (United Kingdom), Legal sub committee of MP's & MEP's from the UK and European Parliament. He has also participated in a number of presentations to members of the EUCCC, BCCC, AusCham, as well as to a number of trade delegations hosted by the British, Irish, Norwegian, Royal Netherlands and New Zealand Embassies in Beijing.

Raymond has had a long partnership with Enterprise Ireland in China and has contributed articles on IP protection to China IP & IT Law Service, The Market (Enterprise Ireland), MIP and the New York Bar Association.
